The EBSG "Software as a Service" Philosophy is all about making the right software available to your organization, at the right time, at the right price AND on the right terms.

Why should you have to invest a large, up front capital sum for the privilege of acquiring a "perpetual license" to use a piece of software that you will probably replace in 3, 5 or 7 years in any event. Isn't it far more sensible to tie what you pay to the likely time period through which you can see yourself using the application and eliminate completely any large up front capital investment?

This is the basis upon which EBSG first introduced its 'Software as a Service' Licensing Program back in 2004 in response to the growing feedback from its existing customers suggesting that they wanted greater flexibility in how they applied their IT budgets towards securing the most appropriate business software applications for use within their organizations at any given time.

They told us that - in an ideal world - they would like to be able to license a given number of interchangeable 'software users' to use an interchangeable number and/or combination of generic business applications.

In this way, they would establish a completely flexible software licensing policy, which guarantees that they only pay for what they need at any given time and allows the TRANSFER of their license from one application to another when the time is right rather than being faced with a new purchase every time they require a new or additional application and then being left with redundant licenses.

In addition to the flexibility described above, our clients told us that they'd prefer to pay a single annual fee that covered both their base user license as well as the annual support & maintenance charge. In this manner, large 'up front' license fee's would be avoided and they could budget for a single regular annual amount for the duration of their use of the software.

These were the thoughts and requirements that stimulated the launch of the EBSG 'Software as a Service' licensing program.

Since its launch, EBSG have added a few details of their own such as combining this program with our standard 'Development Level Support' program thereby providing our clients with the ability to not only transfer their user licenses from one application to another but to define and have built, completely new aplications to suit their business requirements.
